Hello beauties! How are you? Hope you’re all having a great, sunny weekend. ❤
Well let’s get into today’s issue: vegan mineral foundations. Lately, I’ve had some very bad breakouts, so I thought, to give a try, to a somehow more natural foundation, which would let my skin breathe a little more. I’ve decided to try this italian brand, called Neve Cosmetics which mades 100% vegan, vegetarian products.
They make a variety of makeup products and even brushes, as you can see on their website, if you want to take a look.
So, the foundation comes into a little jar, with 8g of product and it comes in 8 shades, for three different undertones, neutral warm and cool. I am in the shade Medium Warm.
They claim it is a high coverage foundation, with matte finish, cruelty free and made to be applied wet or dry. I really like to apply it with the dry Real Techniques Buffing brush, it makes my skin look so flawless. I don’t apply any primer underneath, cause I really like the finish without it better. It is lightweight so it doesn’t feel you have makeup at all, but I still use some concealer underneath on my dark circles, just to look more awake.
I have to say, that I’m using it for a week now, and I really can see the difference between how my skin looked before and how it looks now, definitely, all my breakouts dried out and my skin is so smooth. It last pretty well on my skin, even if after 4 or 5 hours I have to touch up with powder but it’s definitely ok, beacuse I have very, very oily skin and it’s normal for me to touch up after 4 hours anyway on my T-zone, especially on my forehead. But even after a 8 hours wear, my blemishes and my acne scars still covered pretty well and my blush didn’t fade at all.
I haven’t found any disadvantages for this product, I really love it and I’ve been using only this one, since I bought it and I’m pretty happy I’ve found it. It retails for €13,90, same as the L’oreal True Match liquid foundation, another favourite of mine.
Hope you all enjoyed my first review, I usually enjoy a lot reading reviews and I tought it would be nice to share with you my recent discover.
Let me know how you feel about mineral foundations in general, I would love to read your opinions and experiences. 🙂
