bourjois poudre de riz de java

Bourjois Poudre de Riz de Java

“For its 150th anniversary, Bourjois reinterprets its legendary JAVA RICE POWDER. An ultra fine, velvety texture, for a smooth, and radiant complexion. ”

I picked this up on my last trip to London, while I was in Boots, overwhelmed of all the products and brands that we don’t have in Italy,I remembered I saw this product in Estée’s Lalonde video, where she was talking about many Bourjois products so, of course had to try it. 🙂

So this is mostly an illuminating powder, very fine and you can really see this little glittery particles in it,  is nothing like straight up glitter but it definitely reflects light. It is a pinkie, champagne color and it litterally smells like roses.
It sets and brightens my under eye area (I use it lightly in the areas I’ve highlighted) and my under eye doesn’t crease all day if I use this. It’s very finely milled, which means its doesn’t look cakey or unnatural, and on my very oily skin, it looks really good even after an 8 hour wear. It has little shimmers which make my skin look radiant and healthy without a heavy feel. The only con, is that, it is a loose powder so if you are in a rush, it can get a little messy.

I hope you enjoyed this “review” and let me know, if you would like to read more of this kind of posts, cause I picked up also some new products from Makeup Revolution. 🙂

The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural.

Thanks for reminding me about this! I recently finished my jar of Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder which I use to set my under eye area – and was looking in my stash for a replacement. I received this in a set that I bought a while ago but forgot about it. I think this may fit the bill!
